Sept 2018: Mozart Piano Quartet Receives OPUS KLASSIK Award for Best Chamber Music Recording (19th C) for 2018

The MOZART PIANO QUARTET feels very honored to receive the new OPUS KLASSIK prize as the successor of the old ECHO prize award for our last MDG Gold label recording with works by Henrik Georg WITTE. Our thanks after 18 years of collaboration and quite a few recordings go to Mr. Dabringhaus, Mr. Grimm, Mr. Görgen and the whole MDG team. A special merci of course to our supportive sound maestro Friedrich Wilhelm Rödding who himself has been awarded to be the first ECHO prize winner as a sound engineer just two years ago. Our artistic collaboration on this last CD with our friends Radovan Vlatkovic, horn and violinist Cornelia Gartemann from the Berlin Phil orchestra as well as the descendants of the composer H.G.Witte was just going for a dream team work! The price will be given on the 14th of October in the Konzerthaus Berlin.
